`This text provides a timely and comprehensive introduction to major research methods in the Organizational sciences. It will be a boon to all students conducting their projects in this area, and may well become a standard reference for staff teaching research methods to undergraduate and postgraduate students of business studies or organizational behaviour' - Professor Neil Anderson, Goldsmiths College, University of London
A perfect reference that guides the student through the whole research process, taking into account important topics:
- researcher-practitioner gap
- project management (securing access to the organization, procrastination...)
- a selection of questionnaires and scales to start off
- identification of appropriate methods for sampling and statistical analysis.
It is well written and incorporates a broad range of topics in a very concise manner (~200 pages / octavo size).
Excellent text providing the framework for doing research in an organizational context and for organizations.
Straight forward approach that is not overwhelming to MBA students in a first research methods class.
This book communicates well to the student reader and supports our content delivery for the third research methods courses for our Leadership Studies program.
We believe this text will provide great coverage for the topics we wish to cover. The delivery is supportive of self-exploration as well as class study.
It is not a good book for students.
Very interesting book but at too high a level for my needs.
An excellent book for students, especially for those who have no previous research experience. The authors review a wide range of methods, including qualitative ones. Moreover, the book also includes chapters that deal with more general research-related issues, such as starting off the research process. Finally, it also provides a very comprehensive review of different statistical tests. Overall, a great guide for students and lecturers who teach organisational research methods.
