This is an essential book for students studying tourism and event planning. This book provides a detailed and well resourced discussion on factors that can influence events. A must for students
insightful text into the world of event management. The authors have considered a broad range of the key aspects of event management. Useful text for students, practitioners and academics.
This book is a very good book. Both students and lecturers have found this book useful.
This book is a very good one. Very detailed knowledge and very useful for both instructors and students. Unfortunately, it is not enough international (too many examples of UK event industry if we teach to non-UK students). This is the main reason why I recommend the book without promoting it as an essential reading.
This is an excellent text for any researcher or student. It is an essential text in anyone's library.
The chapter on accounting was very good.
An excellent introduction to the subject and is now one of our core texts.
A practice guide to event management that stage one students are able to grasp and use with confidence
Concise, relevant and very pragmatic
This is one of the more practical of the academic events management textbooks that I have come across and there has clearly been considerable effort to cite a range of relevant examples (often missing from other texts).
Covers some of the key macro areas that are fundamental to the events industry. This is a very useful text for students.
Adopted as core text for Event Industry Studies. Covers the key elements of this module and is a useful overview of the sector. This is replacing our current foundation key text - Shone & Parry on a trial basis for the next academic year.
A good introductory text that explains the key aspects of events management. The publication contains a series of useful case studies showing how ideas can be applied in the events industry.
