A very impressive text which addresses the challenging topic of research methods in an approachable way, whilst also containing sufficient detail to accompany a student through undergraduate study. I particularly liked the 'research bite' inserts throughout the text, which include some really contemporary critique, and the 'test yourself' questions at the end of each section.

This is a well-organised book. It is however disproportionately biased toward quantitative approaches, neglecting many important key debates and approaches of the past few decades.
