Sage has an agreement with the Norwegian consortium for higher education and research organized by SIKT. The agreement for participating organizations (see list below) will run (commencing 1st January) between 2020 and 2025. The details of the agreement are as follows:

Some steps editors can take to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within their journals
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is something that we care deeply about at Sage. We are aware that the publishing industry, including Sage, has much more work to do in order to better reflect the diversity of the world we seek to educate and inform. Signing the Journal’s Contributor License
Sage requires the author as the rights holder to sign a Contributor License for all journal articles we publish.
Sage’s Contributor License is a license agreement under which the author retains copyright in the work but grants Sage the sole and exclusive right and license to publish for the full legal term of copyright. Exceptions may exist where assignment of copyright is required or preferred by a proprietor other than Sage. In this case copyright in the work will be assigned from the author to the proprietor.
