As a practitioner I gained a greater understanding of children’s creative thinking and how to provide opportunities for creative thinking.
''Young Children's Creative Thinking' cleverly and creatively brings together an interplay of theory, research and practice to provide a fresh, yet penetrating perspective on young children's creative thinking in the context of their relationships with others. An essential read for all those who truly value young children's development!' - Dr Glenda Walsh, Principal Lecturer in Early Childhood Education, Stranmillis University College, Queen's University Belfast
A pertinent text for those developing practice in a changing sector. Explores the concept of creativity and how connections, interactions and practitioners influence and affect this. A inspiring and influential text for practitioners, students and researchers.
Very useful for our Early Years and Primary PGCE students, to support my lectures on children's learning and teaching, including creativity and problem-solving related to independent learning. Sound book theoretically and very practrically focused on the early years classroom context.
A really interesting book that explored many areas that my students will find pertinent. The layout and structure is the usual Sage standard. I did think that the title doesn't really reflect the content - I will need to sell it to the students in terms of the content!
