The American Journal of Health Promotion (AJHP) is a peer-reviewed journal on the science of lifestyle change. Established in 1986, the AJHP was the first peer-reviewed publication devoted exclusively to health promotion. More than 30 years later it remains true to its original goals.

  • Provide a Forum for the many diverse disciplines that contribute to health promotion
  • Reduce the gap between health promotion research and practice by delivering the most current and relevant research in the field while addressing its practical application.

The editorial goal of the American Journal of Health Promotion is to provide a forum for exchange among the many disciplines involved in health promotion and an interface between researchers and practitioners.
