Frederico Ferreira da Silva is currently a PhD researcher at the European University Institute, Florence, developing a thesis about leader effects on voting behavior. Previously, he worked as an assistant researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, in the research project “The Personalisation of Politics in the 21st Century—A Research Project on Democratic Elections,” funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). His research interests include the personalization of politics, public opinion, and voting behavior. His work has been published in the European Journal of Political Research and West European Politics.
