Kenneth Egol, MD NYU Lagone Medical Center, New York, NY, USA

Dr. Egol primarily works with people who have experienced trauma, which can range from an ankle sprain or a broken hip to multiple fractures caused by a car accident. During his residency training, he was drawn to treating orthopedic trauma after seeing people recover from serious injuries with help from orthopedic surgeons. Those doctors were able to restore their patients’ physical capabilities and their quality of life.
 
In addition to treating patients, he also teaches medical students and residents, and is the director of the orthopedic surgery residency program at NYU School of Medicine. He has been recognized by Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors” series for the New York metro area. He is also a three-time recipient of the “Teacher of the Year” award presented by orthopedic surgery residents at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital.
