Lisa H. Amir is a general practitioner and has been certified as a lactation consultant since 1989. She works in breastfeeding medicine at The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne and in private practice. She is a Principal Research Fellow at Mother & Child Health Research, La Trobe University, Australia. She is the author of over 40 peer-reviewed articles on breastfeeding and is the Editor-in-Chief of an online journal, the International Breastfeeding Journal.
