Peggy J. Kreshel has taught advertising in society, media planning, and media culture and diversity. Her research focuses on advertising professionalization, ethics, and history and media and gender issues. She officially retired in December 2020, but has returned to teach on a part-time basis. Kreshel’s research interests are advertising history, gender issues in mass communication and consumer culture, women’s studies and cultural studies. She has published in the Journal of Communication Inquiry, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, Public Relations Review and the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Administration. In 1990, she received the “Best Article” Award, in the Journal of Advertising. She has presented her work at a number of national academic conferences.
