Polina Baum-Talmor Cardiff University, UK

Polina Baum-Talmor is a PhD researcher at Seafarers' International Research Centre (SIRC; 2012–2016), at the School of Social Sciences located in Cardiff University, UK, and she is funded by the Nippon Foundation. She carried out a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Anthropology at the University of Haifa, Israel (2010–2012), majoring in the qualitative study of seafarers. She also undertook a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) in Sociology, Anthropology and Human Resources at the University of Haifa, Israel (2005–2009).
