Sandra Walklate is Eleanor Rathbone Chair of Sociology at the University of Liverpool, UK conjoint Chair of Criminology, Monash University Australia. She is internationally recognised for her work on criminal victimisation and for the development of critical victimology. Most recently, this work has paid detailed attention to the increasing presence of cultural and narrative victimology particularly in relation to violence against women. She is currently the President of the British Society of Criminology and was given their outstanding achievement award for her contribution to the discipline in 2014.
