Competition and Regulation in Network Industries

Competition and Regulation in Network Industries

eISSN: 23992956 | ISSN: 17835917 | Current volume: 25 | Current issue: 1 Frequency: Quarterly

The Journal Competition and Regulation in Network Industries is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal that meets highest academic standards. Resolutely interdisciplinary in nature, CRNI favors articles that combine economic, legal, policy and engineering approaches. We are looking for articles that link theory with practical relevance: they should make contributions to theory and methodology development, yet always building on solid empirical research, both quantitative and qualitative. Articles that establish links between the evolving network industries and/or take into account the growing role of digitalization and innovation as well as the emergence of new network industries in the form of digital platforms are of particular interest. In addition to the industrialized North, CRNI particularly encourages articles that address competition and regulation issues in the network industries of emerging countries worldwide.

This journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Commencing in 2017 SAGE is delighted to be the new publisher of Competition and Regulation in Network Industries.

We are building on the 16-year tradition and strength of the existing Intersentia Journal Competition and Regulation in Network Industries, yet strive to evolve it into an even higher quality journal, addressing the increasingly urgent challenge of governing (including regulating) complex and dynamic socio-technical systems (e.g., energy, transport, water, communication, urban systems), especially in light of pervasive digitalization, ensuing innovation dynamics and emerging digital platforms.

Network industries are caught between technological developments, evolving competition and regulation. At the same time significant technological innovations offer new opportunities for infrastructure operations and governance. Exploring this combined technological and institutional dynamics between competition and regulation provides a fascinating field of research that challenges academics, managers and policy-makers alike. Articles that establish links between the evolving network industries and/or take into account the growing role of digitalization in the different network industries are of particular interest. In addition to the industrialized North, CRNI particularly encourages articles that address competition and regulation issues in the network industries of emerging countries worldwide.

The new Journal Competition and Regulation in Network Industries is resolutely interdisciplinary in nature, favoring articles that combine economic, legal, policy and engineering approaches and seek to link theory with practical relevance. It is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal ** that offers leading specialists opportunities to provide an in-depth and forward-looking view on the evolving network industries. We pride ourselves of deciding about your submitted manuscript within 4 weeks. Your manuscript will either be accepted, accepted with minor revisions, or returned back to you with comments. In this case, you always have the possibility to resubmit and will be ensured an assessment within 4 weeks.
