SAGE Book Content Open Access Archiving Policy

The table below summarises the open access archiving policy for book content published by SAGE.

The policy outlined below has been developed to enable authors of SAGE books and Institutional Repository Managers to easily identify what book content can be archived under what terms. For the archiving of content outlined below in open access archives, no additional, specific permission to archive is required.


SAGE Reference titles honored by Library Journal

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE Reference resources continue to receive recognition for excellence, most recently by Library Journal in their annual Best Reference feature. Library Journal has selected three key SAGE/CQ Press titles to be included in its 2013 list.


SAGE Launches Comprehensive Research Methods Reference Resource

SAGE Publishing today launches SAGE Research Methods Foundations, an online reference resource on all aspects of research methods and the research process for the social sciences. The resource contains hundreds of entries written by an international roster of methods experts, such as psychologist Paul Stenner and sociologist Guillermina Jasso, each between 500 and 10,000 words.

SAGE Publishing titles honored by ALA’s RUSA and Choice

Los Angeles, CA- Choice and the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) have recognized eight SAGE resources as outstanding resources of 2015. Six reference titles and one digital resource were recognized on Choice’s Outstanding Academic Title list, and one reference title was listed on RUSA’s Outstanding Reference Sources for adults.
