International Nurses Day 2017

The 12th May sees the return of International Nurses Day, first proposed in 1953, but not widely recognised until 1974 when the International Council of Nurses (ICN) chose the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birthday as the fitting day to mark the achievement of those in the Nursing profession. The ICN have selected A voice to lead - Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals as their theme this year, whilst the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) are celebrating Nursing Heroes

To help support this important awareness day we have collated and made free to access* a selection of our learning resources and research across both books and journals.

How has nursing developed over the past year? From big data to revalidation, evidence-based nursing to legislative alterations, a selection of SAGE authors and editors highlight recent changes and challenges to both research and nursing practice. Find out more here
