Companion Website to accompany the 2nd Edition of Introducing Qualitative Research

An ideal starter text for students, novice researches and practitioners who are new to the qualitative research field.

Karen Spilsbury
Chair in Nursing, The University of York

'In this second edition, Rose Barbour guides the reader through the qualitative research journey, in what is arguably one of the most comprehensive guides available...She simultaneously demystifies qualitative research whilst reiterating the expertise and skill which qualitative researchers must possess. For anyone who undertakes qualitative research – postgraduate students in particular – this book would be an indispensible addition to the bookshelf.'

I did not receive the book in time for this semester. It was sent to the wrong address. I will consider adopting it for the summer though

Great information, but the broad focus makes it difficult to adopt in a research course focused on internet research.

A clear and useful guide to qualitative research-highly recommended to students completing an independent research project and / or dissertation.

This is the second edition of Barbour's book and Barbour, once again, has excelled with this text. It takes the reader on a voyage of discovery into qualitative research and it is easily understood. Set out in four different sections, it goes through the logical steps of why researchers choose a qualitative approach to research to the analysis of data. A must for the qualitative researcher and for those wanting to know more about this research approach.
