'This is not your ordinary leadership book! Gosling and colleagues provide a fascinating and brilliant new way to look at leadership that distills a century of research into an easily accessible and inherently relevant compilation of leadership styles. This volume includes the classics, such as authoritarian and participative leadership, as well as styles uniquely the authors' own, like the "chillaxed" and the "leadaholic"'

'The idea behind this book is to present readers with an opportunity to reflect upon the different approaches to and ways of thinking about being a leader. Each leadership style is contrasted with its alternative and in the process the reader is drawn into the relevant literature and into a consideration of real leaders' experiences. This is a highly original and extremely illuminating way of introducing the field of leadership studies and encouraging people to ponder their own approach to leadership. Anyone with an interest in this field and who is drawn into a leadership role should read this book as soon as possible'
