This book provides good reference for students who work with children on a 1:1 basis and develop unique relationships. It is vital to know the extent to which they are equipped to 'counsel'. The text is also very good for citing other sources in this area of study.
This book is informative, especially if you have no previous experience of working with children. I have found the Geldard books always offer good sound grounding to working therapeutically with children.
