This is a five week course and I liked the content covered in this textbook.
A useful guide to the person-centred approach to counselling. Very easy to read and understand and I found the case studies very useful when considering theory.
This book demonstrates an excellent and up to date application of person centred approach when working with children and young people. The book is further enhanced by the excellent case study examples. This book is a must read for anyone working with children and young people.

This book has been adopted as recommended reading for the BSC honours Community Youth Work degree at the University of Ulster in Magee. the book offers an overview of person centred practice with young people, setting it in context and offers good examples of case studies and reflective questions and exercises that are useful for students. It is particularly useful for training students as effective helpers and in listening ear. I suggest that those involved in counselling training would find this a useful resource.
This publication is interesting and relevant to anyone working with children or young people. It offers the combination of theory and practice together with blending ethical and legal considerations. The case studies also bring the theory to life.
