Introduction to Psychology
An excellent book which can be used throughout the academic year and with many levels. I had anticipated that this book would provide more detailed links between theory and practice within Child Development, however, there are plenty opportunities to use this carefully throughout many other modules within the academic year. This is definitley one for the shelf which will be used time and time again.
Found this hard to get into but does provide good knowledge for this subject. An interesting read.
Other lecturers are due to be teaching the personality element of the module next year, and so they will be selecting their chosen reading materials in regards to this field.
A much needed book in the field but very eclectic in its choice of topics covered.
This is a well written book however it does not meet with the current curriculum.
This text explains concepts simply. It serves as a good introduction to the topic, providing a foundation for more advanced reading.
I will use the mentioned book for preparing my classes.
This book provides some useful background reading for adult nursing students
An useful text for the psychology elements of the youth work programme
