How should curriculum be chosen?

Los Angeles, CA - Does curriculum really matter? Who gets to decide what students are taught? Should the government get involved? How about the parents? Or the students themselves? Schubert is professor emeritus of curriculum and instruction, University Scholar, former coordinator of the Ph.D. Program in Curriculum Studies, and director of graduate studies in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
