"As high schools strive to partner with post-secondary institutions to improve their students’ college readiness, they will find the how-to answers here."
Dave Daniels, Principal
Susquehanna Valley Senior High School

"I found the material interesting, engaging, and important. This book provides a solid rationale for partnership, provides a blueprint that is detailed enough to be helpful and loose enough to make clear that there is no one way approach but rather than their partnership must reflect their context."
Natalie B. Schonfeld, Director
Student Transition Services, University of California, Irvine

"All too often partnerships are started in isolation and are program driven. A process driven partnership, grounded in theory and focused on practical implementation, is an excellent addition to the literature.  I believe it will be used by practitioners and researchers alike."

Brian Durham, Senior Director

Key features

This book will include examples, including figures and sidebars throughout. The book will also include templates for practitioners to use for tools to partner at the local level. It will include annotated descriptions of sample college and career readiness programming collected from locations where workshops were conducted.

This book is based on years of research and implementation by the authors though EPIC and university programs. EPIC has developed a suite of tools, called the College and Career Readiness System, to assist educators in improving postsecondary outcomes. As part of the implementation efforts, EPIC has conducted high school/college partnership workshops all over the country. Several of those workshops were part of larger statewide initiatives, and EPIC generated tool kits and reports analyzing the work. This book is based on the data, tools, and experiences EPIC developed as a pioneer organization in the field of college and career readiness.
