Olufunsho A. Omobitan

Olufunsho A. Omobitan holds a PhD in Economics from Austria. He is a full Professor of Economics at Lagos State University, Ojo. He is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics).

Afolasade Airat Sulaiman

Prof. Airat Sulaiman has been a professional teacher since 1989 and a counselling psychologist since 1997. She obtained her Doctoral degree from the University of Durban-Westville, South Africa, now the University of kwazulu-Natal in 2003. She started her lecturing career at the Lagos State University from 1999 – 2022 and joined the service of the Islamic University in Uganda in 2022, she was a lecturer on sabbatical from 2013-2014 and currently the HOD, Department of Educational Psychology, Faculty of Education. She has published dozens of articles in reputable international and national journals, she is the author of the book Sexuality Education and Couple Guidance and co-author of Understanding the special needs children. She is a member of the rape research team that won the National Research Fund grant (TETFund NRF 2020). She has graduated scores of undergraduate students, dozens of master’s degrees and nine doctoral students. She has attended and presented academic papers at different conferences, local, national and international.

Sakiru Olarotimi Raji

Raji S.O. (PhD), lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Lagos State University, Nigeria. He received both B.Sc. & M.Sc. degrees in Sociology and Anthropology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and holds a Doctorate degree in Sociology with a specialisation in Medical Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His research interests include Public and Community Health, Migration and Diversity, Social Exclusion and Discrimination, Health challenges of less privileged, and Governance. His current research is on ‘Health Burden of Emerging/Minority Communities.’ Raji has won many grants including the AfHEA grant (2014); Brown University USA (BIARI grant, 2015); DSA UK grant (2020); and TETFund National Research Fund (NRF) grant in 2020. Raji has published in both local and foreign reputable journals.

Olabusoye Olu Olupooye

Olabusoye Olu OLUPOOYE holds a PhD in Sociology with a specialisation in Demography from Lagos State University, Nigeria. She is a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria. Her research interests include maternal health and sexual and reproductive health behaviour. She is interested in using research to initiate policy development that will yield improvements in maternal health and sexual and reproductive health behaviour. She is a mentee of the Rape Research Team that won the National Research Fund grant (TETFund NRF 2020).

Adijat Olubukola Olateju

Adijat Olubukola Olateju is a senior lecturer in the Department of Economics at Lagos State University with over 25 years of work experience in lecturing, research, and community service at Lagos State University (Lagos) and Economic Institute (Abuja). Olateju holds a PhD in Development Economics from University Sains Malaysia. She specialises in development economics, development studies, entrepreneurial development, and financial economics. Her focus areas are impact assessment of programmes, green economy, entrepreneurship development, nano business, Micro Enterprises (MEs), Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Microfinance, women empowerment, poverty alleviation, vulnerability, digital economy, green human resources management. She is also part of the research team that won the TETFUND National Research Fund (NRF) grant in 2020. Olateju has relevant experience in both qualitative and quantitative research. As part of her community service, she is currently the president of Akhtar Kehinde Children Foundation (AKCF) and Abdul-Rasaq Adebisi Poverty Alleviation foundation (AAPAF).  

Ibrahim Rotimi Aliu

Dr. I. R. Aliu is an Associate Professor in Urban Geography and Planning. His research interests cut across the intersection of social polarization, housing informality and urban sustainability. He is also interested in using quantitative methods to resolve urban marginality, urban poverty, and housing deprivation within the informal urban environment. He has published articles in various quality journals including Habitat International, Waste Management and Research, Sage Open, Cities, Journal of Housing and the Built Environment as well as Indoor and the Built Environment. He is the author of the Book ‘Urban Private Housing in Nigeria’ published by Springer Netherlands in 2024. Dr Aliu has won many grants including Institutions TETFund Based Research (IBR) grant in 2019 and TETFund National Research Fund (NRF) grant in 2020. He has critical expertise in quantitative survey design (QSD), SPSS and GIS.

Waheed Moa-Liberty Alausa

Waheed Moa-Liberty Alausa holds M.Sc. degrees in Psychology (specialising in Industrial-organizational psychology) and in Public Health (specializing in health management), both from University of Lagos. Also had a Ph.D. in Psychology from University of Ibadan. His research focuses on influence of psychosocial factors on health and health service delivery, Entrepreneurship, and Workplace behaviour. Had more than a decade of lecturing and research experience in Psychology Department, Lagos State University, Ojo, where he is currently a Senior Lecturer. Waheed is a member of the team that won the TETFund National Research Fund (NRF) grant in 2020 and the 2024 Institutions TETFund Based Research (IBR) grant.

Onipede Wusu

Onipede WUSU holds a PhD in Sociology with a specialisation in Demography, from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a full Professor of Sociology and Demography at Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria. He has 29 years of professional experience in university teaching, research, and community service at Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos (LASU) and Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State (CU), Nigeria. He is a former Head of the Department of Sociology at LASU and CU and a former Deputy Dean of the School of Human Resource Development at CU. His research interests include sexuality, sexual and reproductive health and gender. He teaches social research methods, social statistics, demographic techniques and population and development. He was a Laureate at the 2004 Session of CODESRIA Gender Institute, Dakar, Senegal. Onipede won the 4th Professor Ransome-Kuti Reproductive Health Research Fellowship in 2009 and coordinated the Rape Research Team that won the National Research Fund grant (TETFund NRF 2020). He is also the Team Lead of the sociology of Lagos State University research group that won the TETFund Institution Based Research grant in 2023. He has presented his research findings at several national and international conferences.

Marita Cronqvist

Marita Cronqvist is a Senior Lecturer of Pedagogical Work and have worked at the University of Borås in Sweden since 2008 mainly within teacher education. His research areas are primarily professional ethics and how preservice teachers learn to take ethical responsibility in education. A didactic tool, Didetik, which draws attention to the ethical dimensions of teaching, has been developed based on research. The development of ethical leadership is for example investigated by combining didactics and digital tools in students' videopapers (reflections on recorded teaching). The research is largely conducted in the field of teacher training but covers all levels of education, from preschool to higher education.

Other areas covered in different studies are the importance of the body and emotions in teaching and learning. Methodologically, His research is primarily phenomenological with a basis in life world theory.

Mohammad Mirwais Rasa

Mr. Mohammad Mirwais Rasa, is a graduate of the MBA program from Kardan University, Kabul Afghanistan. Having a bachelor's degree in Geoscience from Kabul University and a diploma in accounting and finance from NIMA, Kabul Afghanistan. Mr Mirwais Rasa possesses six years of experience in finance, administration, data collection, and analysis. Currently, Mr. Mirwais is working at BMA (Bank Millie Afghan) as Secretary to CEO.
