Setting Up your SAGE Online Account 

Do I need to set up a SAGE online account on the new SAGE | CQ Press website?

Yes. If you don’t already have a SAGE online account (whether you are a new or returning CQ Press customer) you will need to create a SAGE online account.

Setting up your free account just takes a few minutes and you only have to do it once.

An account will allow you to

  • Easily request FREE review (exam) copies
  • Place your order in minutes
  • Access your textbook’s online resources (ancillaries)*
  • Keep track of your review-copy requests
  • Stay up to date on special offers and discounts

How do I request a complimentary review (exam) copy of a textbook via the new site?

Requesting a complimentary review copy is easy. Simply find the textbook in which you are interested and click on the REQUEST REVIEW COPY button.  

Once you are ready to check out, click on the CHECKOUT button, after which you will be asked to login to your SAGE online account.  

If you don’t already have a SAGE online account (see Setting Up Your SAGE Online Account above), you will be prompted to create an account. This is required in order to process your review copy request. Just follow the simple instructions to set up your account.

NOTE: If you are currently using a textbook with SAGE edge online resources (ancillaries) and you have already accessed your SAGE edge Instructor Teaching Site, you have already set up a SAGE online account.

If you have an existing SAGE online account, you'll need to login.

Do I need a SAGE online account to be able to request review copies?

Yes. A SAGE online account is required to be able to place a complimentary review copy order of any SAGE | CQ Press textbook.

NOTE: If you are currently using a textbook with SAGE edge online resources (ancillaries) and you have already accessed your SAGE edge Instructor Teaching Site, you have already set up a SAGE online account. 

Do I need to create a SAGE online account every time I request a review copy?

No, you only need to create it once.

I have requested review copies of CQ Press textbooks in the past. Do I need to set up a SAGE online account if I want to request review copies in the future?

Yes. If you don’t already have a SAGE online account, you will need one.

NOTE: If you are currently using a textbook with SAGE edge online resources (ancillaries) and you have already accessed your SAGE edge Instructor Teaching Site, you have already set up a SAGE online account. 

A SAGE online account will allow you to easily place new orders of complimentary review copies. It will also allow you to conveniently access online resources for any of our new textbooks using only one set of login credentials.*

I have an existing SAGE online account; will I need to make changes to the account? 

No. You will not need to make changes to your existing SAGE online account. 


Companion Sites / Online Resources / Course Ancillaries

I don’t have a SAGE online account; do I need to create one in order to access the online resources (ancillaries) accompanying my textbook?

Yes, in order to access the online resources (password-protected Instructor Teaching Site) accompanying your textbook, you will need to create a SAGE online account.

NOTE: If you are currently using SAGE edge online resources (ancillaries), you have already set up a SAGE online account.

Exception:
*If the website address (URL) you use to access the online resources for your textbook starts with “college.cqpress.com”, you can continue to use the login credentials you have been using so far—your SAGE online account credentials will not be linked to your college.cqpress.com teaching site account credentials.

 

I have a SAGE online account. Can I access my CQ Press textbook’s online resources (ancillaries) using the same login credentials as my SAGE online account? 

 

If you have an existing SAGE online account, you can use the same login credentials to access your textbook’s online resources (password-protected Instructor Teaching Site).

Exception:
*If the website address (URL) you use to access the online resources for your textbook starts with “college.cqpress.com”, you can continue to use the login credentials you have been using so far—your SAGE online account credentials will not be linked to your college.cqpress.com teaching site account credentials.

 

  I am already using the accompanying online resources for my textbook. Do I need to set up a SAGE online account?

If you have already accessed the online resources for your textbook, you already have an existing SAGE online account and do not need to create a new account.

Exception:
*If the website address (URL) you use to access the online resources for your textbook starts with “college.cqpress.com”, the login information for this site will not be linked to a SAGE online account. You’ll need to create a separate SAGE online account—see the Setting Up Your SAGE Online Account section above and learn more about the benefits of creating one.

 

I am already using the accompanying online resources for my textbook; can I continue to use my existing login credentials?

Yes, you can continue to use your existing login information without changing it.

 

My textbook’s online resources website address starts with "college.cqpress.com" and I have forgotten my login information. How do I retrieve it?

To retrieve your login information for a college.cqpress.com site, please visit the User Login page for your Instructor Teaching Site and select Reset Password.

 

My textbook’s online resources (ancillaries) website address starts with "college.cqpress.com." Can I update my password information for this site?

Yes. To update your password, visit the User Login page for your Instructor Teaching Site and select Reset Password.

 

My textbook includes SAGE edge instructor teaching resources (ancillaries). Do I need to set up a SAGE online account to continue to access my SAGE edge online resources?

No. If you are currently using SAGE edge online resources (ancillaries), you have already set up a SAGE online account.

 

I have multiple CQ Press online resources (ancillary) site accounts, each with their own login credentials. Can I merge them?

While it is not possible to merge these accounts, it is possible to update your login credentials for online resources sites accompanying textbooks.

  • To update your password for "college.cqpress.com" online resources sites, please visit the User Login page for your Instructor Teaching Site and select Reset Password.
  • To update your password for all other online resources sites, visit the login page for your Instructor Teaching Site and select Request new password.

 

I have never accessed my textbook’s accompanying online resources (ancillaries) but I would like to access them now. How do I login?

If you have a SAGE online account, you can access your textbook’s online resources using the same login credentials you’ve selected for your SAGE online account.  

If you have not yet created a SAGE online account, you’ll need to create an account first. Once you’ve created your account, you can access your textbook’s online resources using the same login credentials you’ve selected for your SAGE online account.

NOTE: If you are currently using SAGE edge online resources (ancillaries), you have already set up a SAGE online account.

 

Where do I access my textbook’s accompanying online resources?

Simply find your textbook on the website and click on the SAGE edge or Companion Website icon appearing immediately below the title and author name section of the page. Here's an example.

How do I know if a textbook is offered through Vitalsource?

Most SAGE | CQ Press textbooks are offered through Vitalsource. To find out if your text is available on Vitalsource, you can find the book on our website and select “E-review copy” from the drop down options under the FOR INSTRUCTORS section.      

 

How can I access sample chapters for a book in which I am interested?

If sample chapters are available for your text, you can access the sample chapter links via the RESOURCES tab on the book’s webpage.

 

How do I know if my textbook can be bundled with other materials?

You can find bundle information in the BUNDLES section of the book’s webpage.

If you don’t see the perfect bundle option for you, contact your sales representative to request your custom bundle.

 

How can I learn more about the new features of the website?
