- Stephanie Dunleavy - University of Ulster, UK
Designed with speed and simplicity in mind, this pocket-sized glossary provides an A-Z reference guide to over 1,900 key biological terms used in nursing.
Key Features:
1. Prepare for practice – Clear definitions of commonly used terminology
2. Learn the language – Phonics-based guidance on pronunciation
3. Deepen your knowledge – Breaks down complex terms to aid understanding
All in all, this is a really good read, it’s really helpful and useful to student nurses and qualified nurses out there that struggle with terminology and how to pronounce things. This is a life-saver. It’s quite small as well so it will fit into a small backpack or handbag, if you’re taking it to uni, onto wards or out in the community.

Very good resource for student nurses - specifically for my first years
A really handy text. Students will find this really useful as a pocket guide for when they are working in clinic
A great book for which I have written a review in and also am adopting on a brand new nursing curriculum as part of the essential reading list
