Michelle O'Reilly University of Leicester, UK

Dr. Michelle O'Reilly is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Leicester and a Research Consultant with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. Michelle works in a multi-disciplinary way, working in Media, Communication and Sociology, as well as Neuroscience, Psychology and Behaviour in the university, and in child mental health research in the NHS. Michelle has research interests in child mental health, family therapy and neurodevelopmental disorders. She also contributes to the methodological literature, writing articles on critical issues in methods and on research ethics. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and several books, including two handbooks on mental health with Palgrave. Michelle is currently the Director of the International research group Conversation Analysis Research in Autism (CARA), and works alongside practicing clinical professionals to ensure that the research conducted in child mental health has clinical application in practice.
